Generate
Power Where
You Need It.

ProtonX Power LLC is developing a different approach to mission power: instead of carrying all of the energy as stored electrochemical energy or liquid fuels, the mission carries the means to generate power when required.

The architecture separates the Reusable Power-Generation Module from inactive, dry consumable fuel. Additional mission duration can therefore be supported by additional fuel rather than proportionally increasing the mass of stored battery energy.

The reusable module determines how much power can be generated at one time, while additional fuel packages determine how long the mission can continue.

The objective is a flexible power platform that can be activated at the point of use and scaled to application-specific energy requirements.

UP TO 90%LOWER CARRIED SYSTEM WEIGHT*

ProtonX Power LLC is targeting a substantial reduction in the carried mass associated with extended-duration power requirements compared with comparable conventional battery-based configurations.

The design objective is to shift mission energy logistics from carrying increasing amounts of stored battery energy toward carrying a reusable power-generation module and lightweight, inactive consumable fuel.

*Conceptual development target relative to comparable conventional battery-based configurations. Actual system weight, energy output, and performance are subject to prototype development and validation testing.
CONVENTIONAL APPROACH

Carry Additional
Stored Energy

DEVICE→ BATTERY→ BATTERY BANK→ RECHARGE

As mission duration increases, additional stored energy generally means additional battery capacity, carried mass, charging requirements, and reverse logistics for discharged batteries.

PROTONX SYSTEM APPROACH

Carry the Means
to Generate Energy

MODULE+ DRY CONSUMABLE FUEL→ ACTIVATE→ GENERATE

ProtonX System is designed around generating electricity at the point of use. Additional mission duration can be supported by additional inactive consumable fuel rather than simply adding more pre-stored battery energy.

CORE DESIGN PRINCIPLE

Fuel Quantity Determines Mission Endurance.

MISSION CONCEPT

Power Longer. Carry Less.

OPERATING CONCEPT

Power Longer. Depend Less.

4 STAGES

The ProtonX System concept is built around a simple change in mission energy logistics: carry the Reusable Power-Generation Module and inactive fuel, then activate and generate electricity when power is required.

The ProtonX System concept is built around a simple change in how off-grid power is supplied: carry the Reusable Power-Generation Module and inactive fuel, then activate and generate electricity when power is required.

01 / CARRY

Carry

Reusable Power-Generation Module + Dry consumable Fuel

The mission carries a reusable power-generation module together with lightweight, inactive dry consumable fuel. Dry fuel remains completely inactive during storage and transport.

02 / ACTIVATE

Activate

At the Point of Use

Field activation using locally available aqueous fluids, where appropriate. The activation approach is intended to reduce dependence on dedicated pre-positioned activation resources.

04 / RETURN

Return/Repeat

Minimize Reverse Logistics

Spent consumable material avoids bulky return Logistics associated with discharged battery banks, subject to applicable handling and environmental requirements.

Reduce Return Logistics

Spent consumable material is designed to reduce the need to return heavy discharged battery systems, subject to applicable handling and environmental requirements.

BATTERY-BASED MISSION

More Mission Time
Means More Stored Energy

CARRY → CONSUME → REPLACE → RECHARGE

Extending a mission can require additional battery capacity to be carried from the beginning, increasing the amount of energy-storage mass and creating additional charging and resupply requirements.

BATTERY-BASED OPERATION

Longer Operation
Means More Stored Energy

CARRY → CONSUME → REPLACE → RECHARGE

Extending operating duration can require additional battery capacity, increasing stored-energy mass and dependence on available charging infrastructure.

PROTONX SYSTEM MISSION CONCEPT

More Mission Time
Can Mean More Fuel

CARRY → ACTIVATE → GENERATE → REPEAT

Carry the Reusable Power-Generation Module once, then add inactive dry consumable fuel as mission duration requires. Spent consumable material is designed to avoid the return logistics associated with discharged battery banks, subject to applicable handling and environmental requirements.

ABOUT PROTONX POWER

A deep-tech company developing a different approach to mission power

ProtonX Power LLC is developing field-activated, on-demand power systems for demanding applications. Our architecture separates a reusable power-generation module from a lightweight, inactive dry consumable fuel, enabling power to be generated when and where it is needed.

The dry fuel is designed for compact transport and storage in an inactive state, then activated in the field when power is required. This approach allows mission energy to be scaled through additional consumable fuel rather than requiring proportionally more reusable power-generation hardware.

DRY FUEL & FIELD ACTIVATION ARCHITECTURE

ProtonX strictly separates the reusable power-generation module from its consumable energy source. Our fuel architecture uses a dry, inactive consumable fuel designed for compact storage and transport.

The fuel remains inactive until power generation is required, when it is activated through the system's controlled operating process using locally available aqueous fluids. This architecture is intended to reduce the logistics burden associated with transporting stored energy or bulky liquid energy carriers, while allowing mission endurance to be extended through additional fuel packages rather than a proportionally larger power-generation module.
